Film and Social Impact

Driving with Selvi is a documentary film about a former child bride who becomes Karnataka’s first female taxi driver. We began working with the filmmaker several years ago to create a social impact campaign that builds on the narrative of the film to support women and girls’ empowerment and economic opportunity in the face of patriarchy in India. The multi-tiered campaign began with Phase 1 execution of screenings and meetings with potential partners. We are currently working on the Phase 2 roll-out of the social impact campaign. Our goal is to get the film in front of one million people in India in order to raise awareness and shift public opinion around child, early and forced marriage. We are executing on a strategy to build partnerships and collaborate with philanthropists, foundations, social investors, and ethical brands to meet the defined goals, extend the film’s impact and enhance audience engagement.
