Higher Ground Collective Initiatives

Stardust T’s

Our Collective continues to find ways to donate time and money to support the skyrocketing mental health crisis amongst our youth. Suicide is the #1 health-related cause of death for young people in Canada. We have designed a Stardust T-shirt to remember that “we are all stardust”, as Carl Sagan said. It is a reminder of our connection to the universe, our shared history with the stars, and our cosmic connection to each other. Only when we come together as a community, can we truly raise awareness, remove barriers to support, and build structures that support mental health for our youth.

Proceeds from the sale of our We are Stardust t-shirt will go directly to Jack.org, a Canadian non-profit organization focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention. Jack.org is Canada’s only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health.

Art, Music, and the Mind

Higher Ground brought together a series of events featuring Cirque de Soleil vocalist Laur Fugére and pre-eminent psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, author, essayist, and poet, Dr Norman Doidge.

Workshops, concerts, and an art auction focused on the power of the human voice, music, and art and their effects on the brain. All proceeds from the events were donated to Women’s Brain Health Initiative.
