Driving with Selvi

Feature documentary film & social impact campaign shines a light on forced child marriage

Driving with Selvi is a documentary feature film about a former child bride who becomes Karnataka’s first female taxi driver. We began working with the award-winning filmmaker Elisa Paloschi several years ago to create a social impact campaign that built on the narrative of the film to support women and girls’ empowerment and economic opportunity in the face of patriarchy in India. The multi-tiered campaign began with Phase 1 execution of screenings and meetings with potential partners. We are currently working on the Phase 2 roll-out of the social impact campaign. Our goal is to get the film in front of one million people in India to raise awareness and shift public opinion around child, early, and forced marriage. We are executing on a strategy to build partnerships and collaborate with philanthropists, foundations, social investors, and ethical brands to meet the defined goals, extend the film’s impact, and enhance audience engagement.

Deliverables: Strategic planning; social impact campaign development with focus on child, early and forced marriage (CEFM), gender-based violence, gender equality and women’s agency; multi-tiered campaign; sponsorship model; partner presentations; print/digital campaign development; incubation and organization of cross-sector partnerships.
